Community Partner Event: Heritage Garden Open

Tour the beautiful Grange Heritage Garden, just off the Sammamish River Trail.

The Sammamish Valley Grange Heritage Garden is a unique display garden featuring large boulders engraved with Grange Poetry and Words of Wisdom.  Located on private farmland and accessible via the Sammamish River Trail, visitors are treated to a quiet retreat, and a place for reflection and inspiration.  Additional garden features include the remnants of a Historic Sawmill, and a Fern Grotto. 

Established in 2007, the garden first served as a place for Grange gatherings, then as a pea-patch garden, and more recently renovated with herbs and pollinators.  Ornamental trees and shrubs provide a backdrop to the Heritage Garden.  The Gardens are located a short walk to the south from Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodinville, or about one mile north from the King County ballfields located in the Hollywood District of Woodinville, an easy walk from Willows Lodge or the Somm Hotel.  You can walk, bike-ride, or get there by any means — other than by car.

Jot us a note if you’re interested in volunteering.  Work alongside experienced gardeners, arborists and pollinator enthusiasts.  Learn to be a docent that provides visitors with self-guided tours of the larger farm where the Grange Heritage Garden is located.
