Tracy Heins has called Woodinville home for more than 32 years, developing a deep appreciation for the stories, places, and people that give the community its character.

Her love of history began early through museum visits, historic places, and every history book she could get her hands on — a curiosity that grew through extensive college history and business coursework and now shapes the way she connects people to Woodinville’s past and present. Driven by a deep commitment to public service, she has been a lifelong volunteer for a wide variety of community organizations.

Tracy brings an MBA from Washington State University and a background in marketing, operations, organizational growth, and storytelling. Her career has included work with organizations such as IBM, Nordstrom, Deloitte, and MultiCare, as well as founding an online community that reached millions of women worldwide. She now brings that experience to help guide the museum’s growth, strengthen community partnerships, and share Woodinville’s stories in compelling ways for broader audiences.

Her volunteer and board leadership includes service on the Woodinville Heritage Society Board, the Woodinville Cemetery Association Board, PTA Board, and with regional nonprofits including Hopelink, United Way, and the YMCA/YWCA. She deeply values the board members, volunteers, partners, donors, and supporters who bring the museum’s mission to life.

A lifelong Washingtonian who runs on coffee and curiosity, Tracy can often be found with her nose in a history book, exploring a museum, or turning a good idea into action.

Kevin Stadler has deep roots in the Puget Sound region, having grown up in Alderwood Manor, where an early appreciation for local history and community heritage first took shape. In 2007, he moved to Woodinville and soon became involved with the Woodinville Heritage Society. His longstanding commitment to preserving the city’s history has led to his current role as president of the society.

Beyond his work with the Heritage Society, Kevin has played an active role in Woodinville’s civic life. He has served on the Woodinville Planning Commission since 2012 and currently chairs the commission, helping guide thoughtful growth and community planning. He also serves on the Woodinville Cemetery Board, supporting the preservation of an important part of the city’s historic landscape.

Kevin’s dedication to local heritage extends throughout Snohomish County as well. He is a board member of the Lynnwood-Alderwood Manor Heritage Association and Museum and serves with the League of Snohomish County Heritage Organizations.

Kevin is proud to be actively involved in preserving Woodinville’s past while also helping shape its future.

Carrol grew up in Edmonds and attended the University of Washington, earning a BS in Zoology.

She worked as a Research Technologist at the UW in Ophthalmology, Rehabilitative Medicine, and Bioengineering, and then as a Volunteer Development Manager for Girl Scouts of Western Washington. Currently she and her husband Gary are owners/innkeepers of the Hideaway Lodge B&B in Woodinville.

Carrol is a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts and still gets involved with women’s camp and camp property preservation. She volunteers at the King County Library, on her church’s Endowment Board, and is Vice President of Membership for the Washington Independent Inns Network.

She enjoys editing The Homesteader newsletter, scheduling museum hosts and serving on the Board of the Woodinville Heritage Society. Her passion for history came from her father. As a result of many family outings, Carrol developed a natural curiosity about the people and places that came before us. She would like to help others discover our past.

Kristin has lived in King County since 1992. She came here from Illinois with her high school sweetheart. They now have an adult son. Kristin loves old houses and fell in love with the DeYoung House. She went to the Annual Ice Cream Social and learned that she come become a Docent. She loves showing visitors the house and sharing the history of Woodinville. Kristin serves as Secretary on the Board. She also is the Susan Woodin Chapter, NSDAR, Chapter Regent, which shares the values of historical preservation and education. Kristin is also a Woodinville Public Spaces Commissioner and also serves as the Secretary on the Woodinville Cemetery Board.

Born and raised in Kenmore, WA Lucy graduated from Inglemoor High School.

Lucy has had a successful 50 plus year career in financial services and property management. After graduating from the University of Puget Sound (UPS) with a BA in Marketing and Political Science, Lucy worked for the Washington State House of Representatives, Senate and Governor’s Office where she had responsibility for over 50% of the State of Washington’s general fund budget. She then earned an MBA in finance and organizational design from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Some of her honors include: Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, UPS Outstanding Marketing Student – American Marketing Association, and UPS School of Business and Public Administration Distinguished Alumni Award.

In the financial arena, she has extensive experience in municipal finance. In addition to being a commercial and investment banker in Chicago, she owned her own municipal financial advisory firm in Washington and was the financial advisor to over 50 municipalities in the issuing of a wide variety of over $1.5 billion in municipal bonds.

In the area of property management, she has extensive experience owning and managing all aspects of industrial, office and retail properties. In the past 20 years she has co-managed an 80,000 sq foot shopping center in downtown Seattle, managed over 35,000 sq. feet of office space, and managed over 35,000 sq. feet of warehouse space. All with multiple tenants.

Lucy has also distinguished herself in the area of public service. She was elected as the first mayor of Woodinville, Washington in 1992. In addition, she has served on many public and private boards of directors including the Washington State Public Stadium Authority which owns and oversaw development of the $430 million Seahawks Stadium. She is also the past chair of the Evergreen Health Foundation. Lucy is one of the founding members of the Woodinville Susan Woodin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution where she has served as Regent, Vice Regent, and Historian. She also is a Past President and is the current Treasurer of the Woodinville Heritage Society; and is the Board Chair of the Woodinville Cemetery Association. She was chosen for the Northshore School District Wall of Honor in 2018.

Phyllis was born and raised a Hoosier. In 1960 she went to work for the US Foreign Service in Hong Kong. Three years later she turned down a transfer to the Congo. After a year in the Pentagon she moved to Seattle in 1964. In 1965 she married Naval Lt Jack Keller who she met in Hong Kong. The family moved to Woodinville in 1972 and raised 2 boys.
Phyllis has dedicated many years volunteering in the Woodinville community. She was co-founder of the Woodinville Historical Society (now Heritage Society) in 1975 with neighbor Cherry Jarvis and has served as its president numerous times. She has been on the WHS Board the majority of the past 50 years.

She is a founding member of the Association of King County Historical Organizations (AKCHO) and its first president in 1977. The Association was created to support and advocate for historical societies throughout King County.

In the late 1970s she, along with other community members, was instrumental in convincing King County Public Works to change their plans for Woodinville’s main street, NE 175th. The County proposed 4 lanes, thereby retaining the overhead wiring, no sidewalks, etc. Construction for the new street began in 1983. Today there are 2 lanes with a center turn lane, sidewalks, bicycle paths and underground wiring.

She served on the Woodinville Design Review Committee in the late 1970s. The committee attempted to determine Woodinville’s future and its design. The Committee was assembled and members were appointed by King County Councilman Bill Reams.

She served on the Woodinville Community Action Council. During the 1980s the Woodinville community saw active grassroots efforts, including the formation of the Action Council. The surrounding area was experiencing rapid change, with Bothell attempting to annex Woodinville. The Council was heavily focused on environmental concerns and mitigating the impact of development on the city and its landmarks. Her work and the work of local activists during this era laid the groundwork for managing the growth.
She was appointed by Governor Booth Gardner to the Washington State Boundary Review Board for King County in 1985. Due to family issues she did not serve.
She currently serves on Woodinville Cemetery Association Board.

Phyllis is dedicated to preserving Woodinville’s documents and artifacts of the past. She is responsible for landmarking some of the City’s structures. She is adamant that we must preserve the history and treasures of Woodinville for future generations to enjoy. She currently serves as the Board’s Facilities Chair and Collections Committee Chair.

Rick Chatterton is passionate about history and building community. He holds a BA in History from California State University Northridge and a MA in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona. He has called Woodinville home since 2004 and has proudly served the Heritage Society for 17 years in various capacities, including Immediate Past President. Rick is grateful to his fellow Heritage Society board members – both current and past – whose vision and dedication to telling Woodinville’s stories will continue to build our community for many generations to come.

Mike Tenhulzen brings decades of business, design, construction, and community leadership experience to the Woodinville Heritage Society.

Mike is the owner of Tenhulzen Remodeling, a Woodinville-based design/build firm specializing in residential remodeling, additions, and improvements. His professional background includes sales, design, production, permitting, operations, accounting, marketing, and technology, giving him a broad understanding of both hands-on project work and organizational leadership.

In addition to his business experience, Mike has a long record of civic and nonprofit service throughout the Eastside. He has served in leadership roles with the Woodinville Chamber, Woodinville Rotary Club, Falcon Gridiron Club, Northshore Lacrosse, Kirkland Performance Center, the Redmond Chamber, the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, Leadership Institute Eastside, Hopelink, Redmond Lions Club, and the City of Redmond’s Derby Days.

Mike’s experience with community organizations, local business, historic properties, and public service reflects a deep commitment to strengthening the places where people live, work, and gather. He brings practical leadership, community connection, and a strong appreciation for Woodinville’s history and future.
